Ella Delaney
Introducing Ella Delaney, a third year B Engineering (Hons) and B Commerce student at the University of New South Wales, where she is also a member of the UNSW Elite Athlete Program, competing in inshore and offshore sailing, predominantly out of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.
In January 2024, Ella founded 'AchieveIt Tutoring', to provide help to students who wanted to maximise their potential and achieve their academic goals. Now she manages a team of 20 tutors who work with students from Y3-12, across both HSC and IB education pathways.
In addition to tutoring, Ella joined the Cranbrook School coaching team in 2024. Prior to this, she coached sailing at both Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron and the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, where she was a member of the Youth Sailing Academy (YSA) Advanced Squad.
Standing down from the YSA this past year, Ella is concentrating on other pursuits; including advancing her tutoring company goals, while still undertaking yacht racing on a combination of 'Triton' and 'Whistling Kite' and more recently 'No Limit'.
Ella has a personal interest in data modelling, business analysis, asset management, and mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the medical space. She is directly involved in the funding and formation of a new complex pain and physical rehabilitation clinic for teens at The Sydney Children's Hospital (Randwick) with a view to expanding the service to clinics in hospitals throughout NSW.
Through her studies, Ella is developing a solid grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of the foundations of each of the major disciplines of Engineering whilst recently specialising in her chosen field of Bioinformatics. Bioinformatics engineers create computational methods and software to handle the vast amounts of data generated in life sciences research, gaining insights into biological systems, diseases and developing new drugs and therapies; a skill she plans to incorporate into her Finance major.
Most recently Ella has been appointed one of four co-convenors at the 2026 Youth Health Conference, led by the Australian Association for Adolescent Health. The conference is part of a transformative dialogue that places young people at the heart of global change.
Joining world-leading healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers and passionate advocates, the conference reimagines what investing in youth truly means. From groundbreaking research to innovative strategies, this conference is a catalyst for lasting intergenerational change. Together, participants will shape policies, share solutions and build a roadmap for a healthier, more equitable world.
At AchieveIt, Ella predominantly tutors mathematics at all levels and is looking forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.
